Merry Christmas Eve. Here is Amery playing with a Christmas present that Will and Chelsea got her. She kept trying to carry it around, but kept falling down on top of it. 
Amery eating cheese and cheerios. She is starting to make some progress with eating more solid foods and not gagging. She imitates me a lot, so I pretend to chew. It has worked so far. Hooray!!

Today we went to a friend's house and watched everyone bake cookies. Amery ran around and played with lots of new toys and friends. 
She managed to rip the head off of her toy and then proceeded to carry it around like a little trophy.
Amery had a rough day today. She is teething and constantly chewing and biting everything. It must be really bothering her because today she was really cranky and had trouble taking her naps. She also fell down and cut the inside of her mouth. Dan and I saw her fall and start crying, so he went to pick her up. Right before he got to her, we saw some blood running down her chin. It wasn't a lot, but it was definitely a little stream of blood. In the picture there is a dot of blood on her sleeve and on her collar, under her chin.
Today we went to lunch with some former co-workers. Amery had a good time, and then we went to the doctor's office. Amery was due for a routine checkup. She is 22 pounds and 30 inches long. She is in the 95th or greater percentile for height and the 70 to 95th percentile for weight. Her head was in the 95th percentile also. The doctor said that Amery can try whatever food we want to give her, except for foods that can cause allergic reactions (like nuts and some berries). Now if Amery can just get past the gagging on any food that isn't the texture of baby food, we will be in business. 
I have hijacked Amery's blog again to profess my love for Tracy. I cherish every day that we spend together and that my life is better in every way with you in my life. I love you Tracy, you are a great wife and mother. Thank you for everything.
Amery taking a big girl bath. She switched over a while ago and she loves splashing in the tub. It can be difficult to keep her under control in there sometimes. I also caught Amery trying to grab her tongue with her fingers tonight. It was a big slobbery mess, but really funny.
Chelsea and Will came to play with Amery today. She really liked the top of Will's head.
