April 30

I took a picture of Amery with the flash on and she opened her eyes really big. The light must have been too bright for her. She is getting so much better at controlling her hands. She is grabbing for things and feeling toys. She pulls and pinches my shirt, my arm, my finger, and my lips sometimes. It is really cute and amazing how things seem to develop overnight. You can also see from the picture that she has no wrists. We assume they are under the baby chub somewhere.

April 29

Today Amery and I went for a walk at Vander Veer Botanical Park. I did the walking and she did some sleeping. In the picture Amery is playing with some keys that Grandma bought for her. In the video Amery wanted me to quit filming her.

April 28

Amery and dad were having a good time telling jokes today. We got our groceries yesterday and a big thing of diapers today. We are all ready to hang out at home for a while in case the black plague, aka swine flu hits:-)

Amery is contemplating her day in the top picture. Grandma came over and played with her while Dan and I went to the gym. They had a good time and she took a nice nap afterwards. In the video Amery isn't sure if she wants to cry or not.

Today I feel so much better. I woke up with no fever and felt back to normal. Whatever I had went away pretty quickly. We ended up running some errands. Dan wanted to buy this shirt, but I wouldn't let him. The picture does not do it justice.

Yucky day. I woke up feeling achy and icky. I went to the chiro because I thought that might be the problem. But, unfortuantely I am sick. I have a fever:( I have realized that being sick is a lot easier without a 12 week old. The good news is that she seems fine and healthy. I hope she doesn't catch it. In the video, she is talking to the baby in the mirror.

Bath time!! Today Amery made a poop mess. It soaked through all her clothes and onto my hand when I picked her up.

April 22

This is what happens an hour before bedtime when Amery does not take her long nap. So tonight she went to sleep a little early.

I went to the chiro today and feel so much better. Amery stayed home and napped.

Dan always picks the worst times to grill out. The last time it was snowing. Today it was hailing.

Today Chelsea came over and visited Amery and I this morning. Amery was not in the best mood and needed her nap. Grandma came over to watch Amery while Dan and I went to the gym. Amery slept the entire time and didn't even know Grandma came over. The video is of Amery talking to me about life.

Today we tried holding something and it ended up by our favorite spot. I need to get Amery a little rattle.

We tried this toy for a little while today. Amery is giving me a look that says: "you want me to chew on this thing??" She ditched it for her hand in about 30 seconds. Oh well!

Amery has been trying to stick her entire hand in her mouth lately. Sometimes she gets her long little fingers in there pretty far. Every now and then, she gags herself.

Today was an icky rainy day. We went and got our membership plan changed at the gym. Thanks Donna! Amery has been having mini-meltdowns right before bed lately. I think/hope it is a phase she is going through. So, after a lot of comforting Amery is finally asleep. Now I am watching Dancing with the Stars and listening to the monitor.

Happy Easter! Amery keeps going back and forth between two moods today. She is our Sweet Amery, as pictured on the right. And then there is Wild Amery, as pictured on the left.

Amery just found out some shocking news! Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson broke up!!!

I went to the gym today and Dan went to the chiro. Amery and I went to the store this morning too. A couple weeks ago, Dan took Amery to the store by himself. He got stopped by several people who asked about Amery. There were also a lot of women smiling at him too.

April 8

We had a doctor appointment today. The pic on the left is before we went. The one on the right is after we went. Unfortunately, we went during her usual nap time. Amery wanted to take a long nap right before bedtime. It may be a long night tonight. The appointment went okay. She weighs 13.9 pounds and is 24 inches long. She is in the 90 to 95th percentile for both height and weight. Her head is in the 75th percentile. She didn't get any vaccinations so far because I want to wait until she is a bit older. The whole vaccine issue is really stressing me out. We also found a large wound on Ecto's tail this morning too. He licks and licks a spot on himself until it creates a "hot spot" or wound. So, today was not the best day.

April 7

Little Amery decided to scratch her face by her eye:( I looked over and there was even a drop of blood there! It broke my heart. I had to wet a tissue and wipe it up. I clip her little nails all the time, but she manages to get herself.

April 6

This weekend was pretty busy for us. I went to lunch with Chelsea on Saturday. Dan visited his friends on Saturday too. On Sunday, Grandma came over and visited Amery. She also brought cookies. I didn't go the the gym this weekend, so I finally made it in today. In the video I posted, Amery is smiling at the very beginning.

Amery wanted to go out to the garage when Daddy was working out there. She liked hanging out in the "350 N". Or is it the "350 Z"? She wanted to drive it, but can't quite reach the pedals yet. She may be a long baby, but not that long!

The video is Amery telling me how her day went. She can make vowel sounds. She likes to say "agoo" a lot. Her favorite song right now is the speckled frog song. When we go out in public, people always tell me the same two things about her. They say she is chubby and that she has a lot of hair. Sorry this post seems to have random information in it. I am trying to use my blog to keep track of her milestones and memories.
