Will and Chelsea came over and whooped us at a game of Pictionary. Dan and I need to work on our drawing skills. Amery is 4 months old today.

I looked over at Amery today and she had made this beautiful spit bubble beard.

I bought the most obnoxious color of nail polish I could find today. I was inspired by one of my girlfriends to change my fingernails. When I took the pic, Amery wanted to get in on the action.

Amery laughed today for the first time. When she gets real excited sometimes she makes a noise, but it was an actual laugh. It was the cutest laugh ever.

Amery is testing out her toes. She loves the foot flavor!

Amery watching herself on video. She finds herself quite entertaining. She also rolled from her stomach to her back for the first time. She has been able to do the reverse for a while now.

Ecto started off as a handful, but grew into a patient and loving friend. He will be missed.

Amery was very excited that she has a foot for each of her hands. Yesterday I caught her sticking her toe in her mouth for the first time.

Garrett's 1st birthday!! Today we went to a baby party and met a lot of people. Amery did really good and smiled at most people. She was definitely a giant baby compared to the other babies.

Amery thinks her feet are really fun. She rolls on her side and curls up into a ball while screaming. She is very talented.

WARNING: LOWER THE VOLUME OF YOUR SPEAKERS BEFORE PLAYING VIDEO!! Amery has a new favorite pastime -- SCREAMING! Shortly after I made this video this morning I put her down for her nap. When I went into the bedroom, Dan was sleeping with pillows over his head. Enjoy her beautiful voice:)

Today we went for a walk with Grandma and Aunt Melissa. Amery had a good time looking all around.

Sweet little Amery woke up from her nap still sleepy. I rocked her for a while and she slept for another 45 minutes. I love snuggling with her.

I went to lunch today with Chelsea and Nick. Chelsea and I are discussing our workout plan. We also saw some guy trip and almost fall down while holding a baby. Apparently, he didn't know how to walk in flip flops.

Amery is so hungry, she eats puppies for breakfast.

This morning we went and visited Chelsea while she was getting her hair colored at the salon. Chelsea noticed that Amery can hold her head up now. She started doing this about 2 weeks ago and now she is really good at it. Within the past couple of days, Amery decided that she likes sitting up (with help). She also discovered that she can get a good look at her feet while sitting up too!

Dr. Apt today. We went in for our 3 month checkup. She weighs 15.25 pounds and is 26 inches long. She is in the 95th percentile for weight and above the 95th for height (thanks to dad). She is doing really well developmentally and doesn't need to go back until she is 6 months old.

Happy Mother's Day! Today I went for a walk with my mother-in-law and then she came over for dinner. Dan cooked for us. He made steak, potatoes, green beans, fruit, and cucumber. It was really good. Having Amery has really made me appreciate and love my mother even more. She was a beautiful person.

Slick visitors. Today Grandpa and Grandma Slick came to visit. Amery had a good time, but wanted to apologize to Micki for the mess:) They brought lots of cool stuff for Amery to wear and play with. They got me some nice items too. BTW, the photo collage looks small on the web page so you can click on the picture to make it bigger.

Today we went for a walk this morning with Grandma. In the video the music was making Amery sooo sad. Her little eyes even got kind of watery. I think she was really tired. She went to bed a little early.

Meg and Amery. Today we visited Marcy, Kelly, and Megyn. Meg really likes babies so she posed for a few pictures. Amery is going through a phase where she keeps grabbing her clothes.

Cinco de Mayo! Today I am feeling back to normal. Amery and I went for a walk this evening. She carried my water for me. Then she had a bath and went to bed. Amery has been doing much better at bed time. She hasn't been fussy for the past three nights. Yay!!

May 4

I brought Amery into the bedroom to wake Dan up this afternoon and then left the room. When I came back, they looked like this. What cuties!! I also went to the doctor today because I am sick again. I have an infection related to breastfeeding so I have to take antibiotics. At least it is not contagious and I have been feeling better as the day goes on.

Our little cupcake. We had a visitor today. Mom's friend, Christine, came over and played with Amery.

Date Day!! Today Dan and I went mini golfing and ate at Old Chicago. Amery stayed home and Ecto looked after her. He is going to be 10 in June so we felt he was ready for the responsibility. Grandma also helped :-)

It must be that time of year. I killed my first spider in the living room this morning. It was an ugly one too. I have gotten more afraid of bugs as I have gotten older. I am really trying to control my reaction to them now that Amery is paying attention. I don't want her to be overly scared like me.
