Today we had lots of company. My brother's best friend, Erik, came and visited. And then Christine, Dustin, and baby Garrett visited. This is a shot of Garrett realizing that there was another baby to play with.

Today we ran errands. We went to the mall to get Dan's ring resized and my rings soldered together. Then we went to the movie store followed by the grocery store. Amery slept the entire time and woke up famished. She is so dramatic sometimes:)

Last night was a long night so we are just relaxing today. Dan has been cleaning all day. He is such a good husband.

Today I went to the gym, the chiro, and to Kohls. I bought two ugly shirts (above picture) and spent a combined total of $9.20 on them. They do have a function besides being unfashionable. They will work perfectly for nursing. I have been looking for cheap button shirts everywhere and finally found some. It was embarassing buying them though. The other pic is of the dogs. They do still live at our house:)

We see this side of Amery every two to three hours. She thinks that she is wasting away.

Aunt Chelsea came to visit today. Nick and Will also came and visited with Amery. We all had a good time.

February 20

Nothing much going on today. We are all just hanging out.

February 19

It is official. Amery is a Vikings fan!! She has correctly chosen to follow her mother's side of the family.

February 18

We visited the doctor today for our first check up. Amery is doing extremely well and thriving. She weighs 9 lbs. and 8 oz which is in the 95th percentile. So, she has gained a pound since she was born. They like for babies to gain back the weight they lost at the hospital in the first two weeks. She has more than gained that back. She weighed 8 lb. and 1 oz when we left the hospital. She is now 22 inches long, also in the 95th percentile. Her head was 37 cm and in the 75th percentile. Ohh, there is not a single hiccup in this video :)

February 17

Today Amery had her first real bath in the tub. She hates being changed and hated all her sponge baths, but she didn't seem to mind the real bath. I think she was a bit confused by it all. She ended her bath by having a poop explosion all down the front of me and the side of the tub. It was a good thing I was picking her up to dry her off:) What a funny baby. I know, I know. It is another hiccup video. Amery is just too cute when she has the hiccups. In the middle of the video she puts her little lips in an "o" shape. It is my favorite facial expression that she makes.

February 14

Today I finally went back to the gym and lifted some weights. I also weighed myself and I have lost 23 pounds since Amery was born! I don't really know how since I have not dieted or attempted to workout until today. Hmmm?? I'll take it though:) It felt good to get back into the swing of things. Speaking of swing, Amery took a nap in her swing today. She didn't like the swing before, but seems to enjoy it now. The other pic is a cookie that Dan's mom gave us. We cut it in half and Dan ate his half immediately. He has been eyeing my half for a while now.

February 13

Amery just hanging out with dad. Grandma came to visit and she slept the whole time. Amery did wake up the second grandma left though:) She is such a silly baby.

February 12

Today we went to the chiropractor. They did a scan on her back and checked her all out. She was such a good baby and slept through the entire event. Mom and Dad got adjusted too. I really needed an adjustment and now I feel so much better.

February 11

Apparently this is what I look like after a long night. I am laying on the baby's nursing boppy and next to me is a burp rag and receiving blanket. It is all worth it though. It is nice to be able to curl up into a little ball again instead of being one giant ball:)

February 10

My little bug and me :) Today daddy went to get a massage, so Amery and I had some girl time. We listened to Bread together and sang until she fell asleep. I couldn't help taking her pic. Hopefully this will be another trick that soothes her. She really likes her hair brushed or stroked also.

Look who shaved his beard. Dan waited until Amery was born to shave and now he has a baby face.

I'm a banana!! Today we had another bath and then we decided to be a banana. In the first pic Amery was getting ready to sneeze. The second pic is a nice action shot of her sneezing. The third shot she is just chillin'. By the way, you can click on any pic to see it a little closer.

Grandma Donna came and visited today. Amery was such a good baby for her. She didn't open her eyes because she was a little sleepy from being up all night.

Today started out really good. I am feeling better and got some sleep. Amery is eating very well and we are figuring things out a little:) Daddy wanted to dress her up in a cute outfit so here are some of the pics.

All is going well with the new baby. The top pic Dan took today when we were trying to get Amery to wake up enough to feed. She likes to sleep all day and skip eating, and then party all night. So it was kinda funny trying to get her to wake up. The bottom pic we took in the hospital. I love it when her little eyes are open and looking around.

Woo Hoo! I am finally home and feeling okay. Amery has eaten at home and been changed. She is now enjoying a swing. I posted two pics today because I couldn't help myself. The first pic is of the proud papa and his teeny little daughter. The second is a pic of Amery in her going home outfit. She was a little annoyed. Whoops, the pictures posted the opposite of what I wrote.
