Amery went to the doctor today. She has been waking up several times during the night so we decided to take her in and have her checked out. We wanted to be sure there was nothing physically wrong with her and it is close enough to her 6 month check up. She is doing just fine. The doctor thinks that she could be waking up for many different and normal baby reasons. Hopefully it is just a phase. Amery weighed 17.4 pounds, which is the 75th to 90th percentile. She was 28 and 3/4 inches long, which is still the 95th percentile. Her head was in the 90th percentile.

Baby Mason and Amery went for a walk together today. Mason is 1 month younger than Amery, but his feet are definitely bigger than hers.

We think that Amery is cutting two teeth right now. There are two little white specks trying to poke through. Every time I try to look she sticks out her tongue.

Today we went and visited some open houses. Amery played with her keys.

We dressed Amery in a comfy warm outfit for a walk this evening. She spent the day with Grandma while Dan and I cleaned the basement.

Here she is riding like a big girl. She refused to sit back in her stroller for the first half of the walk. We tried to lay her back half a dozen times, but she kept pulling herself up. She is a little stubborn sometimes. Uh oh, she might have got that from me.

Amery has been watching and reaching for Squirt lately. Squirt wants nothing to do with her.

Today we got all dressed up and went to the library. Some of her outfits are so cute and she doesn't get to wear them.

We went to a cookout at a friend's house tonight. Amery is giving me the eyebrow in this picture. She has been sleeping in her crib for the past two nights and doing really well. She also tried baby rice cereal today for the first time and loved it. She gobbled it all up and then wanted to nurse afterwards.

Today we went to Kai's first birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Amery had a blast and went crazy looking at all the lights and sounds. She passed out by the time we got home.

This isn't the best pic, but it shows Amery in her big girl bed. She has been taking all her naps in her crib for the past two days now. She is going to start sleeping in it during the night starting Saturday. I am both happy and sad that she is transitioning to her crib. She is growing so fast. We are trying to sell our house, so I have been putting things away too. I packed up a bunch of her little baby clothes that she outgrew. :(

This evening we went to Vandeer Veer Park and had some fun. Dan got part of the night off of work.

Today Dan raced his car in the autocross. Amery played with Seina while she was there. Seina kept making funny noises until Amery smiled. They played this game about a dozen times. I think Seina wants her parents to have another baby so she can have a little sister to play with :)

Happy 4th of July. Dan cooked some food on the grill for everyone. Then we did some fireworks in the back yard.

Yesterday we found Leonardo, the turtle, in our back yard again. Dan spotted him while he was mowing and took the above picture.

So today we brought him to Duck Creek and gave him a new home. Amery was excited and she wore a turtle outfit for the occasion. She also got to ride in her stroller like a big girl for the first time. She usually rides in her infant carrier in the stroller.

Uncle Joe and Cousin Sidney came to visit today. Joe and Sid moved back to the quad cities. Yay!!
