Amery has had a little itchy rash that started behind her ears. It has been bothering her for a couple days so we went to the doctor today. He didn't seem too sure about what it was, but he said to try hydrocortisone cream. He checked her ears and they were fine and she has no fever. She seems normal, except for the itching. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Amery sleeps swaddled every night and seems to like it. I jokingly told Dan that I needed to be swaddled and put to bed because I was tired. He decided to take it literally. It was fun, so I decided to swaddle him too. We kind of look dead though.

Today it is snowing outside! Boo! So we have wet Ecto and wet Squirt. Also, when I came home from the gym today Amery smiled when she saw me. It was so sweet. The smile was promptly followed by a scream for me to feed her, but she did smile first:)

Today Amery has had a sleepy day. I took her to my chiropractic appointment and two people told me she was a chubby baby. What can I say? She never skips a meal. After she got done eating, I laid her down and took these pictures. She was sooo tired. I think she is going through a growth spurt. She has been a little extra cranky, tired, and hungry.

Amery has been smiling at her dad today. She finally smiled at me too when I was singing to her. After a couple smiles and two songs, she decided that my singing was more than she could handle. I don't blame her. I am no American Idol. Unfortunately, I inherited my mother's singing ability.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and birthday to Grandma. Today we went for a walk by the dog park with Chelsea. It was the first time I took Amery out without Dan. It was a girls only walk:) Amery slept during the walk, but woke up afterwards. She smiled at Chelsea 6 times or so. I'm jealous because she hasn't smiled directly at me yet. It was sweet to see her smile though.

Today is day 1 of my new workout/diet. I am making an effort to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. The picture on the left is of my breakfast. On the right, the whole family went for a walk today to enjoy the nice weather. Dan has to go back to work tonight for the first time since Amery was born. I also included a picture of Amery sleeping because I wanted to answer a question that most people ask me. How does she sleep at night? Well, we think she does really good. We put her to bed around 7 or 8 and she sleeps for at least 3 to 4 hours. Then I feed her again around 11 or 12 and she sleeps another 3 to 4 hours. Dan feeds her around 3 and she sleeps another 2 or 3 hours. The last bit of sleep she grunts and moans very loudly though. She doesn't seem to sleep as deep. I feed her again between 5:30 and 6:30 and she then sleeps for about 45 minutes. She wakes up alert and ready for the day to start.

Today we ran errands and I snapped a picture of Dan. The beard has made a comeback.

Dad gave Amery a bath tonight before bed. She likes bath time. She has been smiling lately. Sometimes it seems like she is smiling in response to something we do. What a funny baby:)

Today we had a fun day. We went to Grandma's house to meet Aunt Melissa. We also saw another one of our cousins, Brandon. Amery was striking a frog pose to match her shirt.

Busy day today! I went to my postpartum appointment and everything is fine with me. Then I went to the mall and picked up my ring. When I got home, we all decided to go out. We went to Target and ate at Applebee's. Amery was awake the entire time!! We have the pictures to prove it.

Today it was 67 outside, so we all went for a walk. It was Amery's first walk outside. Can anyone guess what she did the entire time?

Today we didn't really do anything. Amery did not want to sleep last night, so she here she is catching up on her beauty rest. I thought it was really cute that she was sleeping with her arms above her head:)

Today we started our day out with breakfast and some chatting. Then we did a little monitored tummy time where Amery lays on her stomach and practices moving her head from side to side. After that we flipped over and stared around the room. Then we hung out with dad while mom went to the gym. The rest of the day has involved some napping and eating.
